I purchased a blown big block Chev engine with a set of aluminum connecting rods with the letters W R E stamped in the beams. Does anyone know who this is or how I can get in touch with them. Thanks John 503-810-9213

There was a company here in Arizona going by the name of WRE making aluminum rods for SBC and BBC's in the late 80s early 90s. For the life of me I cant remember the full name of the company. I got to see first hand what the aftermath of two of those rods exiting a SBC at 7800 rpm.

I have a pair of aluminum hemi valve covers that say "WRE" on them. Bought them off of Jeff Mould so, maybe he knows who they are.

I also have an old early 80s funny car body with a Waterman connecting rod decal on it.
