Think I may need a regulator, using the Milwaukee 18 volt battery(actually 19 when fresh) and burned the background out of an ultradash. Hate to burn another or start having 6 shooter problems. Does someone have a resistor-regulator compact to use with these things to get it closer to 12 volts?

Cant say what this would drop it to but go to a parts store and get a external resistor for a Chrysler points distributor or any of the older cars that used these on there points..its light and cheap and small....worth a try....;)

I thought about a ballast resistor, friend of mine has a small aluminum box resistor, drops his down to 13 volts. If he can only remember where he bought it now....

How light is that Milwaukee 18 volt battery? We started to go to that but what we have been using is only 11lb. we do hook it to the charger each round, but I have been short handed and ran all day and then when we packed up realized no one charged the battery all day and we had no problems. You can get it from interstate batteries its about $50, I don't have the part number in my head but its a replacement battery for a jump box. it works well and its stays 12 and 13 volts all day
