I've got a set of 2.5 veney heads. What is the normal spring height on these things? I'm at 2.1 int and 2.0 on exhaust. I'm looking at different options for springs and we are pretty close to coil bind right now. About .07 on ex.
I've seen some recommend the PAC 1355's, but that would put me at 550 lbs on exhaust and 480 on intake.
Not running anywhere near that now, have been running erson 048's, just put a set of manley 049's that installed @ 430/500. the 048's have worked ok, but were pounding the seats pretty hard.
They installed @ 375 lbs int and 420 exhaust. Running whipple at 42 lbs of boost 9200 rpm through the traps.

I can't answer your question on the normal install height, but I've had real good luck out of the PAC 1320 series spring. For those install heights, I would probably recommend the 1320-1 or -2 to get an initial seat pressure of 500 lbs, give or take. As any spring, they'll drop a few pounds after the first hit and stay there.

We got 32 runs out of the first set we put on Chris Foster's car.

On the dragster I tune in Europe, we went from running the 1352 triple spring with no inner spring (the smallest)(someone else's theory) to the 1320's and picked up a couple mph with no other major changes. The previous owner was trying to run the spring really tall install height (like 2.20) with no inner to bring the seat pressure to 500. (They'll go in at close to 700 new at 2.10 with the inner).

The 1320 spring has a big wire and goes in with less seat pressure, but has some pretty serious open pressure (around 1250 or more). You can see the difference on the seats vs triple or titanium springs.

Will, I tried looking up the PAC 1320-1 valve spring you spoke of online and couldn't find it. I also got their 2009 catalog out and it's not there either. Is that part number something new? I would like to look up the specs on it. Dave Germain
