We are running BNR heads, and use the valve covers that are fasten down via the threaded plug tube retainers.

Looking in the rule book, as vague as it is, I am wondering if we must now use studs and nuts.

Anyone have any insight to this, or are we ok to keep using the origninal covers?

not sure of the "rule book"but we do and always have ran studs,, with nuts,,,,seems to be a lot easier for removal and installation,,,,

We run only the spark plug tubes as valve cover retainers on our Veney heads. There are no provisions for anything else on our valve covers.
