Us gear problems?

    talked to a few people lately saying they have got more than normal wear and breakage on a lot of 10.5 us gears for strange rears. anybody seeing this lately?

    Yes. I perfer the word junk! Done with them. Next time it's a toms. Never hear anyone complain there stuff is junk. U.S. Strange is just as bad as a motive gear now. 20-25 runs. I use redline oil. New case, bearing , spool. Backlash set at .022. Was howling by 10 runs. Wtf!

    That backlash seems pretty loose. US Gear recommends .006-.008. I always set to the high side for growth though and it seems to work pretty good.

    I sat the first one at .008 and smoked it by end of weekend . Talked with a few people. Got anywhere between .015-.025. Either way. I think they gone soft. I won't by another.
