Update on Tate Branch

I talked with Tate about 10:00 p.m. my time last night, he's resting in the Hotel and flying back home tomorow. He, said the truck is leaving in the morning taking the car back to K.C., Mo. So they can start to rebuild and be back racing soon. The car is a total loss, he said about half track the car kicked the rods out. Also had a flash fire. Then lifted the blower up and took out the fuel line. The fire really started then and didn't stop. He unbuckled and was tring to get out and got hung up on something in the car. Thank God for the Safety person that dove on top the car, and reached through the roof hatch and pulled Tate out of the car. Keep in mind the Safety person had no gloves, helment, etc, on. Thank God Tate Branch is Okay.

 

Thank God Tate is okay. Was the brave safety crew member injured or burned when he helped get Tata out of the car???
