Update on Hannes

Hannes is doing much better. The breathing tube is out and he is alert and awake. His release date is yet to be determined but his spirits are good.

Thank you everyone for all your well wishes and prayers. The racing community has shown awesome support! We will keep you posted on his progress!

Thanks for keeping us updated. We were thinking about Hannes this past weekend in Topeka. Hope his recovery is a speedy one.

 

Kassandra, thanks for the Update. What is the long term prognosis for the team? Are they finished for the season?

 

Hello, We wanted to give an update regarding Hannes Wernhart and let everyone know we appreciate all the thoughts and prayers. Hannes is doing better as each day passes though he has had some difficulty with the trauma to his throat area it has taken a little longer to heal than originally thought. At this time we have stopped him from verbally communicating as this is one of the big irritants to his throat at this time and of course if you know Hannes he loves to talk but we must stop him for now and let his throat heel up. The doctors have not given us a release date at this time. We will keep everyone posted regarding his situation and of course let everyone know when he gets out of the hospital as soon as he is home. Again we thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers.
