Just got my National Dragster and Tucson ad is listing free entry for TAD/TAFC for car-driver and 5 crew. Way to go Tucson! Thank You for appreciating the alcohol racers.

Wouldn't suprise me if more tracks follow suit. The alky cars are the Featured classes at Div. races, without them the Track loses it's assets$$$

    Kudos to Tucson.
Who decided to charge just the Alcohol racers and what is the reasoning?
Is it all divisions or just some?
Is it up to the track?
Or..............did NHRA see that Div 7 fields were better than most others, thus an opportunity for more income?

Just wondering what the true story is.

You been living like a mushroom TAFC, the decision is for all divisions. It is a recommendation put forth to all 7 divisions. That being said the tracks that hold races can decise for themselves whether or not they charge teams outside of the top ten in the divison as the "Top Ten" (which have gold silver and bronze cards) automatically get free entry. All of Division 6, Division 4 and now a track in division 7 has said they will not charge any team. Good for them. Any other tracks or divisions that are not charging should post here. This directive is for Top Alcohol racers only. All other classes do get charged except for gold and I believe silver card holders.

As many Div. races are on Same weekends, be an easy decision to go to a track that doesn't charge vs one that does.

    Thanx TheZone
I'll crawl back under the covers and turn up the humidity.
I still dont understand "WHY" NHRA made this recommendation?
