A combination of good air and a narrow grove made for a challenging weekend for Duane Shields and most of the Top Alchohol teams competing at the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series regional event held at No Problem Raceway in Belle Rose, LA.

Duane driving the Muscle Milk A/Fuel Dragster struggled in qualifying but finally got in the show with a 6.52 at 221 MPH as the fifth seed during the final qualifying session.

In round one, Duane faced Spencer Massey who also suffered traction problems in qualifying. The Shields crew backed the power down just prior to the first round hoping to get the car down the track without losing traction. Unfortunately for Duane, a little too much power was taken away and Massey was able to score a narrow 5.45 at 270 MPH win over Duane's close 5.47 at 274 MPH. "It was a tricky all or nothing track and the traction wasn't what we are used too. We finally got down the track but it was a little too slow to get around Massey" Duane said.

This coming week the Muscle Milk team will travel to Gainesville for both the regional event and the following week's Gatornationals where the team has had much success. Duane would like to thank Muscle Milk, NGK, SRI, GRP, CleanBoost and Brad Anderson Enterprises for their support this season.
