How do you guys manage your engines while on the transbreak?

I have a blown TFX hemi with a powerglide, the ignition is a 44 promag and a powergrid box.

I am wondering how to setup the transbreak function.

Is it ok to just activate transbreak rpm limit in the powergrid while on the transbreak, but still have the barrelvalve and butterflies wide open?

Will the engine not chock up from being limited by ignition while still having wide open butterflies and barrelvalve?

    thanks

Just wire it in and either add a fuel solinoid to take away fuel will on two step or use an air throttle to hold the butterflies only partially open. release the airthrottle at the same time as the two step.

no it wont, your fuel pump isn't pumping som much. It will spit some fuel out your pipes.

It may not hurt the motor but without an air throttle or bleed solenoid it will be too cool at the hit. In other words your egt will be to low and the car may stumble at the transbrake release . Your two step egt should be around 600 to 650 deg f

Jody is right on just watch your EGT on the 2 step and adj from that the size of your fuel pump will dictate how much fuel you will have to take away. I have had a one that didn't need any but he was using a small pump, the other thing is it will take a lot more jet to make a change on the 2 step than like a main pill , I have had as much as a 160 on the 2 step to keep it from going cold hope this helps
