I have the standard deep cast pan with the fins on it. My question is does the welded metal pans like our oil pans cool any faster, does the cast wants to retain the heat longer? I realize the cast pan helps the bottom, but it is a Reed case and it is alot stronger than the std. PG. I don't know if there were tests done or not. also is there a coating we can use. to help the cooling.? Anything to help the cooling would help me. when we have to do laps. Thanks Don

    Lowering ATF temp...

We see this a lot. I don't know what ATF you have in it, but if it's a Type F, it will trap a lot of heat. We see many customers moving to lighter ATF that dissipate the heat much more quickly.

We have a Lightweight Racing ATF that's very thin, yet stable and not slippery. It will loosen your converter a bit, but you can go to a much tighter converter and take advantage of the situation. It lasts a long time, too.

Again, thick ATF may be something to switch away from.
