I am looking for some help - input. What valve gear stands to you run with my Total Flow heads. I Have Spoke with Steve At Total Flow, the heads are 1992 vintage # 92643 & are Brad #? heads, but several thousand heads down stream it is difficult to be specific. I have a set of the Blue KB stands but the intake roller barely catches the edge of the lash cap. The exhausts are much better but not ideal. I also have some purple stands & the intakes are higher so are better but still well away from been ideal. Do these heads need unique stands. I would like to run these heads as I have access to a spare set.
We are a low (ish) budget Super-Pro Drag racing team in the UK so I don't have unlimited funds to experiment. Any & all input is gratefully received.

Its always been my understanding that total flow heads are pretty much the same brad 5 heads. I run the red rocker gear on my total flow's. The same set of rockers came directly off a set of brad 5's.

We've got a few stands that you could dummy up with. We've 9 of the old black stands (actually anodised red) and a 3 real red stands (when we thought that we really had red stands) that you are welcome to try for fit (no spare rockers and only 2 bent shafts tho').
Are you going to be at the National Finals? If so, I could ask Crunch to make sure he brings them...

    Good advice thanks Reehl Equipment

Thanks for the number, I did just that......a bit obvious really, spoke with Steve, sound guy. A great insight & exciting history lesson. I have a set of early Total Flow / Brad heads fuel heads. These heads went the first 300mph in KB's Dragster at Gainsville!

    UK Nation Finals

Cheers Syd, I cannot turn it around in time so we won't be there but Steve Saunders will be. If I could mock up with the red stands that would steer me in the right direction.

    National Finals & Red Stands

I've asked Crunch to bring them to the Pod so we'll get them to Steve....
