This question is for Will Hanna, Will do you think top dragster will ever consider running "all run" at the div races? Just seems to me in this economy anything to help the racer has got to be good, right? thanks,DAVE

Why not a blown alcohol Pro Comp class open to roots style blowers only? Race "B" funny cars, dragsters and alterds heads-up with a 6.00 celine so there are few break outs but still keeps the costs in line. Run them at non-regional points meets and regionals too. It would help at races where there is a short field and the fans love dragsters vs funny cars.

I'm sorry but top dragster now run like a super comp class has little fan appeal.

    field

I argued for that a couple of years ago in D4 when Top Dragster/Top Sportsman was let in.

The problem they have is they have a hard time completing the classes they have now, so scheduling more rounds would make it even more difficult.

The fast guys don't want 7.50 cars ruling the roost.

I don't see all run happening.

This past weekend Sonoma (D7) pretty much had an open Top Dragster and Sportsman class. They couldn't fill (48) ether one so they all ran regardless of ET.

In reply to ron's input :
This weekend at columbus points meet we had a 6.70 bump for 32 car field, and anther 20 cars not making it....
Norwalk points meet 6.70 bump also with about 30 cars not making it....
It does very from region to region..
We also have a heads-up ,q-8 with a bump of 3.99,and 4 guys runnng 3.70 in legal top dragster type cars..and kevin hamster driving about 10 hrs. One way to get to it...

Understandable, I wished the West Coast had the drag strip density that the East Coast has. When I first started fooling around with racing (very late 50's) I had 7 drag strips within 50 miles and another 4 or 5 with 150 miles. Today, only one of those is left and it only runs nostalgia. Don't see it getting better anytime soon for the West Coast.

    Blessings.......Ron
