Top Alcohol Drivers Needed for 2009 NHRA Div 2 Competition

Gainesville, Florida – November 20, 2008 – Many of today’s top professional drivers have one thing in common on their racing resume, they are graduates of Frank Hawley’s Drag Racing School.

In 2009, as the school celebrates their 24th year of training drivers, Frank Hawley’s Drag Racing School will be offering even more opportunities for those seeking to obtain their dream of becoming the next “Force”, “Dixon” or “Schumacher”. Not only can drivers obtain their Alcohol License in either a dragster or a funny car at the world renowned school but now they will also be able to take it to the next step – competition.

“What could be better for those drivers that have already licensed or even for those that want to become licensed at our school to be able to get some actual race experience,” asked Frank Hawley, owner/instructor – Frank Hawley’s Drag Racing School.

“For many years we have offered our Super Class graduates the chance to race in our school cars during the Saturday night racing programs here at Gainesville Raceway. While we will continue to do so we are also going to offer the same type of program to our licensed Alcohol graduates. Only this will be on a much grander scale,” he added.

For those who are seeking to add actual Top Alcohol competition to their race resume, Frank Hawley’s Drag Racing school is now offering just that on a first come basis at all NHRA Division Two events in 2009.

“There is absolutely no better experience a driver can obtain than side-by-side competition,” Hawley explained. “First of all, it’s just downright exciting. But more importantly, drivers who don’t already have a team or a car of their own can now take the next step in their racing career. We receive many calls from teams looking to hire our top graduates and some are also looking for those who have gone beyond just the licensing procedure. They are also looking for those who have had some racing experience. Our new program offering in 2009 will provide this type of training.”

Drivers who participate in the Alcohol Team Rental program being offered by Frank Hawley’s Drag Racing School will receive everything they need to compete. “We will provide it all for them,” said Hawley. “We will bring the entire rig, the car, a complete crew and all tools needed to give them NHRA Top Alcohol race experience.”
