Titanium Valve Springs - which ones ?

Hi all.
Wondering what Ti valve springs everyone likes at the moment - specifically for BAE 6's, which don't have a heap of installed height.

We've been using the PSI's, but appear to be victims of a bad batch, as the last couple of sets have lost tension very quickly - something I've never had before with Ti's.

What are the options ?
I think there's one called Renton, and another that's pretty new on the market.

Yep, that's the Renton spring, but no specs on the website.

I have just heard from a supplier here in Australia that manufacturer of one brand of Ti spring has said that the quality of Titanium available to them at the moment is poor due to the war. They are reluctant to make springs which they know won't last like they should.
The price of Titanium has also sky rocketed.

 

Check with Division 6 Top Alcohol Dragster owner Mike Johnson. I know last year he and Brandon were developing the TiXtreme valve springs. Several folks were using them with reported good success. Might be worth a phone call.

 

Yes, Mike Johnson is making titanium valve springs that are of much better quality than what has been avaliable in recent years. You can get them thru one of the distributors. They are BAE, Randy Anderson, or Tom Conway.

 

Has anyone priced a set of Johnson's springs? Or how many passes they are getting on them?
