Hi Guys I am new at ITA.com Great info here

I have a 23 T altered 115"normaly asperated Alch injected 496 that next season Im planning putting a blower on.
the car feels real loose most of the way down the track in the 1/4 I am running 31x14x15 so I thought I would go to A 32x17x15 .Where the problem is when I adjust the backspacing to fit the tire to the car the manufactures quit making the wheel now the car has a 4.5 backspacing with a 12" wheel width and in a 15"wide wheel the smallest backspacing in a standard centerline is a 4.5". Is it getting risky to run any less backspacing on a wider wheel ? Or is the car just not setup right for the wider tires ? How close do I need to run to the manufactures recomended wheel to tire specs in width ? Any help on this subject is appreciated

one of our cars has a similar problem....its a fed chassis with small block....31x14 M/T....spin shake spin....now we will put a 34.5x17 hoosier lets see if we can make more traction on end of track....by the way our new centerline wheel has less than 4.5 backspacing and its a 16 wide.....
