Great site !! Glad to be a part of the group !! Alittle background on my junk. Im running a 397inch Twin turbocharged SB Olds, 1.80 PG with 4.10 gears on a 260" Canode chassis. We fought with getting the converter right for sometime finally got the converter close but am having issue with 60fting the car. Tried GoodYear 1490's and nearly shook the car apart. Went with Hoosiers 2050's no big trouble with off the line shake to speak of but the tire walks badly from side to side about 60ft out through 300ft. If I hit the tire fairly hard off the line it spins and washing out the rear of the car. Im getting excessive spin off the line with 60fts showing the results. With my Old Hoosiers it 60ed .980's consistantly but 1.02-1.05 now. Im going to remove 40lbs from the nose and let it ride the bar to see if it will load the tire alittle more. Im concerned with this walking of the tire. What are you guys thoughts on this ?

    Thanks Russell

try running 34.5 x 17 x 16 mickey thompson tires. also you need to run beadlocks. i had shaking problems on a 285" dragster. the m/ts solved the problem. also you might want to talk with walker at coan about converters. their 2 piece also helped my dragster - i gained .25 et and 6 mph without any loss of 60' times.
