timing question new to alky motors

    I have a sbc with a 8-71 and i am running 8 psi on alcohol. I have a mallory super mag. My question is that the magneto dose not advanced as the rpm increased so what do you guy think i should set my timing at to start out with. please give advice need help thanks.

    timing

    I have ran 35 on a bbc 25 psi no prob from what I have seen and heard by the time it fires the plug it would be like 30- 32. Now a pro mag is a diff. story it fires now HEY SPUD WHAT YA GOT ?? HE CAN EXPLAIN IT A LOT BETTER. HOPE THIS HELPS CRAIG
