I am trying to understand how a management system works.

If you retard timing and remove fuel have you offset each other or will this reduce power?

If you add timing and fuel flow will this make more power? How much more gpm fuel flow do you need per degree of timing (is there a ratio)?

What am I missing here,I don't understand how this works together.

    Thanks

Timing and fuel are not directly related, you may change either for various reasons, mostly decided by where you are on the track.

    timing vs fuel

You don't have to ramp both. Either one or the other usually. You want to keep it as simple as you can. Timing is more of a right now type of change. Fuel takes a bit longer to happen from when you fire a timer and it's a bit more progressive.
