We run a 540 KB Olds hi-helix blown that uses 32 deg timing for a kill tuneup. We backed it down to 24deg due to chassis problems. Now we're adding the timing and at 28deg we didn't really see any change on the first half of the track. Haven't run a full pass yet. I expected a big difference with 4 degrees. At 24 deg it was real fat and now its burning about half the cad off the plugs. Am I expecting too much? Thanks, Mike

When was the last time the mag was tested?
    Are you running dual mags?
    Is it an AJ motor?

4 degrees in a big CC hemi head makes a big difference.

Its a big chief motor using a fresh supermag 4. We are running in the mid 7's at 3100lbs. 4.90's eighth.
