I have a 3 disc crower pedal clutch that I made a 2 disc. Would someone explain how to measure for a new throw out bearing? Do I need to change the collar? Thank you.

are you sure you need a new bearing?
    did you check
    how deep is your can?
when changing clutches iv usualy managed to use the same stuff just reposition the arm on the splines
if you have a real deep can with a two disc crower you may need a longer release bearing carrier
i had a 2 dics crower in a 8 1/8 can with a standard release bearing carrier, 8 5/8 and iv seen the extended carrier used
you just buy an extended carrier from your clutch arm/fork supplier

I would think to add the thickness of a disc and floater to the length of your bearing collar.
