    WHERE's MY NAME???

    Just kidding, of course. I'm a wanna-be!

    ..BUT...

I think Bob Miner needs to be bumped way forward several spots on your list. He was first to go 260, one of the first to go 5.50's and has done it his own way rather than buying tune-ups from different individuals. He's tuning Gasparelli now and isn't afraid to try anything, plus all he has to do is walk through the pits of his Fontana customers like WOZ and Jones and they haul butt, too. Look how Shawn Jones stepped up first round against Jay at the Finals.

One guy we always hated to race was Larry Miner because he was capable of ripping your head off at any time. Plus, Bob's a great guy in my book and has not one ounce of ego in his blood.

This Top Alcohol "Top" list is certainly open to discussion. And certainly everyone will give opinions on this deal. Unfortunaltey, there are alot of guys left out. But what are you going to do. I agree that Bob is pretty good. I thought of moving him farther up, but where does it end. they all are good. And I am not trying to piss off anyone. Remember it is just our take. I remember alot of flack and comments over NHRA's top 50. As long as people read and send back feedback we are doing our job.

    Excellent list.

    Great Work.

Bill Barney and Mike Kosky might be one for the tuner list too.

Definately a few guys left out, but overall a great job. No doubt in my book that Steve Boggs is #1. This guy is damn good!

this is a good topic, lets keep it that way. one thing i dont tolerate and wont tolerate is cheap shots. if you got something relavent to say, thats ok, but to take a cheap shot like was took on here by barry f. won't fly here.

i also deleted the responses to his post. i think its just better if we get back to the subject.

in other words, if you're going to take a shot at someone, you better have a name and some facts. i'd rather not have shots, but this is a discussion board.

Your site Will, But I did not take any offence to the post by Barry. Whenever anyone makes slamming posts like that and does not back them up, then 95% of the time they are ignored. Plus, it keeps things lively buddy.

lively is fine, bs is not. i try to keep this forum clear of that kind of stuff. if people want to read a bunch of bs, slamming and ass kissing, there are other message boards that have plenty of that. i try to keep that to a minimum here.

although if we could cultivate some alcohol groupie girls that wanted to hang around the alcohol pits and schmooze with crew guys, i'd be more than glad to host...... :D

Dean, Great work. Maybe you could have a list of combinations..Manzo/Glade, Miner/Scelzi, etc.

I did not know Billy Williams was from Canada. Miner will make the list in the funny car story.
Barry, As well as the funny car list coming up and the Funny Car owners, I was thinking of doing a hired guns list. Your idea is good as well.
