    ..is that it is gone for national events and still in at a slightly reduced amount for Divisionals. Alky now gets $1000.00 per class per event for low qualifier. Glad it wasn't taken away from Divisionals. Also a scoop about the new LED bulbs and the delay put in the tree is at the zone. Thought I'd give Will one of the two scoops here.

    After running 5.56 at Pomona, Marc and I were the lucky loosers of the now defunct low qualifier bonus. Eric Lotz came to my trailer to tell me not to bother heading for the tower to collect the check because there wasn't one.

    Coulda used it to offset the cost of those last minute plane tickets to get everyone back due to the rain delay.

    Say AAAAAAAAAUGH!!

    Dean: I, like Goodwin, Swayne & White was a non Benefactor of The NHRA losing its low qualifier sponsor. Like most of the other TA/FC& TAD Teams, worked very hard and spent large amounts of $$ to Put my team in a position to become a #1 qualifier at this level. The not getting the money or recognition from the sanctioning body hurt,but what really hurt the most was the casual manner in which the NHRA sent a "messenger" over after the fact to inform us was just uncalled for. I dont understand why the NHRA could not just have prepared for this by using its own funding, like it was prepared to do after Federal Mogul Pulled out of sportsman Racing a couple of seasons ago. I feel that if the same would have happend to Force or Lucas, things might have been handled differently. There could have been a number of ways to make this a positive situation instead of how it has turned out.(NHRA turning its back on sportsman racers)They(NHRA)could have told us that as soon as a sponsor is found that we will be payed retroactive to when this happened, or given us some entries to an upcoming event. I hope you see my point. I know I am not as good of a poster as Randy Goodwin, but I had to vent..
    For everyone that came by to wish us well, THANK YOU!!

    I hear your pain Don, I think not leting guys know earlier was not right. My Division director had all the facts and the dollars involved right at his fingure tips when I called him the track should have told everyone. Like you say, have them fund the nationals it is a total bill of 40 k including the other classes if they pay the same as divisionals this year. At least you still have the divisionals paying something out. And for that I thank "Sealed Power".

    Don;
    you are 100% correct in feeling that way. NHRA always gives lip service regarding their support of the Sportsman Racer...I think this would have been a perfect opportunity for them to step up to the plate and put their(OUR?) money where their mouth is..someone(NHRA); could've said something as soon as they knew they weren't going to "PONY UP" with the missing cash :mad:
    P.S. Nice runs
