Mike Demke's been getting a workout swinging the "rally rag" on the return road this year! How about six division wins for Jerry Maddern and the Peen Rite team in 2005? It's feasible that Maddern can have the numbers one and two drivers in Division 7 this year. Unreal. I like Chris' comment after the race: "Mike (Austin) is only 1 point behind Perkins. That's awesome, but he's only 40 points behind me! It's a good thing that it's my job to screw in the main jet..."

Also, the late Randy Johnson's car is now undefeated in the three events since Maddern purchased it. Good karma?

And congrats to Johnny Ahten for his first final round appearance.

Did I say that??? :D :D ;) Actually, Austin is 3 points behind Perkins... This season has been a SERIOUS roller coaster ride so far. Mike Austin has performed flawlessly, scoring 3 wins in 3 races in a span of 5 weeks - simply AWESOME.
Of course none of this would be possible without Jerry Maddern, who has my vote for Div 7 Crew Chief of the Year!!!

Brad and Chris both bring up a good point.Lets look at what Jerry Maddern has acomplished this year. Not only has he tuned two different cars and drivers to six divisional wins, but lets not forget his car did lead the national points also.Chris and I are lucky to have driven for one of the best alcohol crew chiefs in the business. Can you say crew chief of the year!!!

I didn't want to take anything away from Mike Austin in the original post, he's done a phenomenal job filling in for Chris. Jerry definitely deserves crew chief/owner of the year hands down! Having served under Jerry for a race was ultimately the opportunity of a lifetime, and something i'll remember forever. And I'm certain that if there hadn't been the little glitch by the track officials in Denver, The Peen Rite Guys would have had that race in the win column as well.

Ya, I guess we "sandbagged" just a little too much first round against you guys eh' Chris? LOL
But seriously folks (as Joe Walsh would say) the Peen Rite team is definately the class of the Pacific Division. Good job guys, see ya at Vegas.
With a whole new box of sandbags. HA HA HA
    Congrats to you all.

Brad thanks for all the great ink you gave us in brad stats newsletter and to this day anything you write I like reading it. You’re a class act.

XXx thanks for coming to our rescue in Denver when we were short on personnel.

Chris, Bro, you are a natural, a meant to be, born to drive faster than 6 seconds what can I say your awesome to race with.

Mike Austin not my first pick to drive our car “what if we win three in a row he could pass Chris”. Jerry chose well. Forget the points for a minute, no body would believe the stories and adventures you and I have had in the last month and a half. Fun fun and more fun. I liked you a lot before, and now, I just want to publicly say thanks.

Jerry Maddern what can I say but good things about Jerry. Creating a fun zone for his wife’s children and there friends to play in a sport where only a few taste victory.

Mom (Dixie Maddern) the sandwiches are always great in our trailer, and I want to talk about T-shirts. I personally have taken to stith printing, just under 2000 shirts and my mom has only given them away she has never sold one. Mostly to little kids at the races, my friends have to go to a race for me to give them a shirt; all my good friends have a shirt mom.

Pinch me wake me, six wins in one year, but wait its not over yet there are still a few to go. I sorry but I’ve been pretty cocky since Fontana.
