Thanks for your help, but my team is done

I would really like to thank all of you who have helped me. I also want to thank those who have offered me some advice or encouragement. I also thank you all for not being to hard on a Super Comper. I have been trying for about six years to get a TAD team together. I have written my own proposals, had "professional" people write them, talked to God only knows how many people about a little financial backing, all with no luck. But let's face it, you can't race for free and at this point I can't even afford the S/C team. House, wife, and dog come first, even though my wife thinks racing is number one to me. So with my last rejection letter coming in the mail today, and my license expiring in August as well as not competing at all this year, I have decided to hang up the suit and helmet and move on (but what else is there besides racing??). I will be at every race I can still, but now as a spectator cheering for all of you who are on the track. The decision is a hard one to make because as we know, racing is a way of life and all the teams are like a family. What other sport would a competitor come over to help you and your crew ready for the next round? I will be sure to stop by and see any of you TA teams making it to the Sonoma, CA divisional and national events. Again, thank you all for everything and may God bless all of you with safe runs.

Join up with a team as a crewmember so you can learn as much as you can. Some day you may have another opportunity to do it yourself and you'll have a lot more knowledge on someone else's dime.
