tfx92 block info please

    a am looking to by a tfx92 block standard deck with a 4.5 crank i curently have an iron 426 hemi block what diffences are there , what will i need to change over , i know that the sump is diffent and i think the gear drive , is there any other diffrences between the two ?the motor also comes with some big sleaves , he guy sayes i will be able to bore he bock a bit to fit them , is this ok or is there a limit to what i can bore it to to fit sleaves

    You cant use anything but maybe your lifters and cam. Oil pan is different, gear drive and cover, The cam is most likely raised witch is good because running a crank that big you should not have to clearance your rods to clear the cam and the block to clear the rods. Oiling system is way better. If you kick a rod on the left side you dont have to fix an oil passage. Head studs are 9/16 not 1/2. My recommendation to you is to find a newer block than a 92 or 96. Parts can be very hard to find as they dont make parts for them anymore.

    Nope, I needed caps for a 92 and was told that they quit making them years ago by rodeck and a guy at AJ's. I posted hear that I needed a set of main caps and was lucky to have one person reply. His block was junk but had good caps still. I was told the same goes for the 96. Its just like the fat head 3. They quit making parts for them. Of coarse for a fee they can remake what ever you want but by then you could have had the new stuff. Correct me if im wrong on this because I cant find new parts for them.
