McMillen adds NAPA to Tulsa stops

ELKHART, Ind. (May 22, 2007) - Terry McMillen and his Amalie Oil InstiGator Funny Car, powered by Torco Race Fuels, will make a few extra stops on his way to the Skull Shine Sooner Nationals at Tulsa Raceway Park, May 25-27. The stops include two appearances at area NAPA stores.

McMillen will display his InstiGator Funny Car, sign autographs and be available for pictures. Some fans will actually have an opportunity to sit in the race-ready car.

"This is a great opportunity for us," McMillen said. "Anytime we get a chance to be one-on-one with the fans, it's a chance to make a new friend." The appearances leading up to the race will also bring Hoosier Thunder Motorsports partners together. "This is a great chance for us to all look at the successes we've had with NAPA, Amalie Oil, Torco Accelerator and Skull Shine car care products," McMillen added.

McMillen will also do a LIVE TV interview on Friday morning at 8:30 a.m. to promote the race.

Several special NAPA guests and area radio station contest winners will join McMillen for Saturday's Nitro Pit Party, presented by Freedom Grill and The Ultimate Tailgater. Guests will enjoy a tour of the Foley/Lewis team pits and the McMillen piloted Torco Nitro Top Fuel car and then make there way to the Amalie Oil InstiGator Funny Car pits for a tour and lunch. Guests will enter their name for a chance to win one of the two Freedom Grill FG-50 Tailgating Grills to be given away.

"We have a lot of fun at the Nitro Pit Party," said McMillen. "It's truly an up-close fan experience that's really unique. This isn't just a display, it's race day environment. Fans are going to see this car come right from a qualifying round of competition and watch as the crew tears the engine down and rebuild it in preparation for the next round of qualifying."

McMillen's NAPA appearance will begin Wednesday, 11:00 a.m. to 2 p.m at 4715 S Mingo Rd. in Tulsa at corner of 47th and S. Mingo. Thursday's appearance will be from 11:00 a.m to 2 p.m. at 6501 E. Admiral, at the corner of Admiral and Sheridan 1 block south of I-244 on Sheridan.
