InstiGator Growls Back to Canadian Nationals

Toronto, ON - After a final round loss in Martin and back to back DNQs, Terry McMillen, driver of the Amalie Oil InstiGator, powered by Torco Race Fuels, is just a little grumpy. In fact, if you've ever heard an alligator growl, it can be just a little intimidating.

"It's just frustrating," said McMillen. "We had things going just the way we wanted, we tried to make some improvements and the next thing you know we're way off from where we were in Martin. I guess that's just drag racing, but we're not going to sit around an whine about it. We've got three races to get back in this thing."

Qualifying for the rescheduled IHRA Canadian Nationals begins Friday, September 22.

With three races remaining on the IHRA schedule, McMillen looks to duplicate his 2004 career best finish of third in points. McMillen hopes that playing the 'spoiler role' will give his team the opportunity to win a race. "We've got the car and the team to do it," added McMillen. "We certainly not going about it the easy way. We may be a long shot for the championship at this point, but we can make sure that the championship comes through us."

The Hoosier Thunder Motorsports team spent the past week preparing for the IHRA Canadian Nationals working around the clock preparing the InstiGator for back to back races. "We pulled a little over-time this week making sure we had everything ready," said McMillen. "From the time we get home, to the tome we leave again, it will be about two days, so we put two weeks worth of prep into this race."

The InstiGator team partners with high quality and high performance companies like; Amalie Oil, Torco Race Fuels, eRaceFuels, Flatout Gaskets, NGK Spark Plugs, MSD, Fatheadz.com, GO Graphix, Powershield Coatings, Crane Cams, eMax and No Limit Custom Coach.
