Purchased mine from Murf Mckinney. They attached to the lower bolt of rear end housing bracket that connects to your chassis.

Mark's Daughter - it wasn't my intention to embarrass you. you should have left your post up. your line about a funeral vs the cost of a part is the most important and memorable thing i have ever read on this site. it should be at the top of each page of the nhra rule book.

    :(

    Barry,

Sorry that I didnt realize that you were joking, (I didnt spell check the word..haa haa) :) I have seen so many people complain about the costs of the new brakes and the new parachute mounts that its hard to figure out who is joking and who isnt. Unfortunately, its going to take something serious to happen to those who complain about the costs before they "get it".... Drag Racing is dangerous and it stuns me to hear that racers are more concerned about their wallets than their own safety (or for their families....no one's family should have to go through what we are if they can do something to prevent it!) I wish more than ANYTHING that we had thought about the parachute mounts before.... Be safe and have a happy Holiday Season.

Im not complaining about the cost of the product or having to use it. I had one on my car right after denver. I just was wondering how others where mounting the new companys version.

    Youngtuner,

I didnt think you were complaining. Its a small consolation to know that drivers will be a little bit safer because of our accident. I hope that other safety measures come about and that the sand traps/nets get looked at also, THEY REALLY NEED TO! Good luck in the coming race season.

At PRI i spoke with Doag the owner of Amick he wais he was working on a new type of catch net with nhra. I think he will come up with something much safer than what we have now.

    Thank you

    YT,

Thanks for telling me that, its actually the BEST holiday gift we could have gotten. I REALLY hope that the NHRA listens to other idea's because what is being utilized now may work for some race cars but if you are in a dragster and go into the nets, its pretty harsh as we know. There are definitely way safer ideas out there!! We hope something good comes from this beyond the mounts and new brakes. The racers need to band together to get the changes made at the end of the tracks to make the sport as safe as it can be. Thanks for the info, you made my day!
