Team Patron ready to take a shot at the Strip in Las Vegas

Las Vegas, NV (March 30, 2011) – It’s been an exciting season so far for the Patron team and driver Alexis De Joria. Now known as the quickest and fastest woman in the Top Alcohol Funny Car category after her 5.44 elapsed time and 267 mph blast in Gainesville, FL at the recent Gatornationals, De Joria and the Patron team are anxious to take a shot at The Strip at Las Vegas this weekend.

“We had an awesome weekend in Gainesville with our new Victory chassis Patron Monte Carlo said De Joria and we hope to continue the momentum we had down there. We tested some new things at the divisional race last weekend in Las Vegas and feel confident that our new combination will be what we need to get to the winner’s circle. I would like to be able to deliver the winner’s trophy to Patron headquarters just down the street next Monday morning after the race”.

Anxious to get her first win in the alcohol funny car ranks, De Joria has tried to keep everything in perspective without adding pressure to the Patron team or her. “We are a capable team on the verge of winning our first race, we just need to stay with our game plan and not beat ourselves. We have a really fast car and it’s time to give Patron and everyone who has supported us throughout the years their chance to stand in the winner’s circle. To do it here in Vegas with all of our friends from Patron would be awesome”.
