Team Patron heading into the heat

Norwalk, OH (June 23, 2010) – Wrapping up a hectic month of races, Alexis De Joria, driver of the Patron Tequila Top Alcohol Funny Car is looking to finish on a high note at this weekend’s Summit Racing Equipment Nationals in Norwalk, OH. “Our Patron Tequila team has shown flashes of success at a couple of the past races and we plan on putting together a great effort this weekend” said De Joria. “We had an electrical gremlin at Englishtown that prevented us from making it to the final round and as we roll into Norwalk everything on our Patron Mustang is 100% ready to race”.

The dog days of summer are here and with temperatures expected to be in the 90’s, Alexis and the Patron team are preparing for challenging track conditions and their hot weather tune-up. “Crew Chief Nick Bastiao and my Patron guys are looking forward to returning to Norwalk. Nick ran really well here a couple of years ago when he drove during his rookie season and with this being my first time at Norwalk we are hoping to continue that success again this year”. “Our next national event is Indy so we are excited to finish this past month of races on a high note and put our Patron Tequila Mustang in the winner’s circle”.

De Joria is currently 8th in Lucas Oil championship points.
