Team Patron Flying into the Windy City

Joliet, IL (June 3, 2010) – Coming off her highest qualifying position in her Top Alcohol Funny Car career, Alexis De Joria and the Patron Team are looking to continue their recent performance improvement as they roll into the 13th Annual UA Route 66 Nationals this weekend in Joliet, IL.

Known as one of the fastest tracks on the NHRA circuit, De Joria is excited to take on Route 66 Raceway. “Our Patron team has a great tune-up and we look forward to competing against the best cars in the class this weekend said De Joria. This race is an important point of the season as we have a great opportunity to apply all of the power we have been making and focus it to one of the best tracks in the country so we expect good results and hopefully can make it to the winner’s circle on Sunday afternoon”. De Joria continued, “I have been driving very well and the guys have given me a consistent and fast Mustang so we really believe our Patron team is a win waiting to happen”. De Joria is currently 9th in championship points.

Route 66 Raceway is located in the southern Chicago suburb of Joliet, but is no stranger to the Windy City moniker. Mother Nature has been a factor to the race in the past and looks to be so again this weekend.
