Team Patron finishes the season in the quarter finals

Pomona, CA (November 14, 2010) – The season ending finals didn’t go as planned for Team Patron. After struggling in qualifying, driver Alexis De Joria and the Patron team were happy to qualify in the seventh position after a last ditch 5.58 ET in the final qualifying session. De Joria faced number ten qualifier Bret Williamson first round and secured the win with a 5.68 to Williamson’s tire-shaking 6.30. The second round brought recent Dallas and Las Vegas event winner Mickey Ferro. The Patron team tuned up their Mustang, but came up short to the eventual event winner Ferro in a 5.56 to 5.65 race.

“The entire race has been strange said De Joria after her second defeat. We got behind in qualifying and just never showed our true potential. My driving these last few races has been challenging and while our Patron team has continued to improve all season long we just didn’t click this weekend. I am really proud of Crew Chief Nick Bastiao and our entire Patron team. These guys did a great job this year and we are already looking forward to next year”.

The Patron team will be using the short off-season to update some of their equipment and will begin pre-season testing early next year.
