TAD question

If NHRA allowed the gizmo, and allowed a larger engine (say 500 ci), what do you think would be the best performance at a facility like Joliet by someone like Marty Thacker, Guy Kelly, Hillary Will, Ken Perry, etc?


5.25? 5.20?

 

Well it dont look like anyone wants to tackle this one but I will give it a shot. Listening to some of the best tuners in the class I will tell you what they say. First off the best blown run in chicago was done by Dave Wells and if I remember right it was a 5.27. From what I have gathered the run with a gizmo may have went a 5.22 and that is only a maybe. All of them ppl think that the gizmo alone will not give them enough to run in the teens. Do we know for sure? No and untill they let them run it nobody does or will.

 

Here's a thought or more of a question. What would clutch management do for a blown alcohol car, dragster or funnycar?

 

What's a gizmo?

 

It's just like a thingamijig but sturdier. Some people confuse gizmos with whatsits.
