What are your thoughts on the type of oil pan for a TAD.This is an Anderson Fat head 512 cuin screw blower deal bought out off a tafc . This engine has a dry sump oil pan and pump, But we can put an standard sump tank due to space. Also I plan to use a 1.82 first and 4.29 rears on a 34.5 hoosier tire. What do you guys think?

    Ps.

    jp,

most tad's run a wet sump pan even with a dry sump pump.

as far as your engine and gearing combo, i'd plan on taking a few advil before you run....that's going to shake your brains out if you're running it at 92 or higher overdrive. thats if it makes it far enough to shake without blowing the tires off. depending on the car, how much od and tracks you run at, may look at 1.56-1.68 range on that low gear.

could try a 4.10 rear gear with that much tranny gear- the math works- mid track performance may suffer. gonna pack a bunch of weight with that cu. in.
