John I dont think NHRA will let you take someones spot.Back in 1999 when Bill crashed Mike Bowen called NHRA to see if he could go to English Town since Bill wasnt and they said NO WAY ! ! So you might call NHRA and see if they will let you in but im pretty sure they wont let you take another person's place.

When i talked to Len Imbrogno about getting in to Indy. He said i could get someone that was signed up to let me take their spot if they were not going to make it.

I asked Hillary when she was in Brainerd if i could take her spot at Indy. But she turned me down.

I have a question- If the total entry limit has not been met for an event, would NHRA allow additional entries in other classes?

For example, there are up to 60 comp cars that can be entered and there are only 51 signed up.

If fewer than 60 comp cars enter (or any sportsman class for that matter) would NHRA allow additional entries in another class to make up the difference?

John, I have a few names for you to contact:

Darrell Hitchman and Rich McPhillips were both signed up to go to Indy and didn't make the trip.
Both are on the entry list for Joliet.

Although I would like to see both of these guys run in Joliet, maybe one or both are not going to make the trip there.
I also wonder about John Finke (New York) and Scott Murray (Manitoba)- both long hauls with gas/diesel fuel being as costly as it is.

I hope you do get to run there. I enjoyed seeing the 5.29 you put up last year and if things work out, maybe you could get another run down in the 20's there this year as well.
