TAD Championship scenarios

    After the slugfest in Vegas, the TAD title goes down to the wire this weekend in Pomona with 3 contenders vying for the title.

    With his win in Vegas, Mitch Myers is second with 691 points, a mere 6 points behind the leader Bill Reichert with 697. In third is Randy Meyer with the defending World Champ car with a seemingly distant 658 points.

    Going into the weekend, Meyer and Myers have the most to gain. They both have round 2 losses they can replace. Reichert must make the final to gain points.

    If Mitch Myers makes the semifinals and Reichert does not make the final, Myers is the champ. If he does make the semis but loses and Reichert makes the finals, Reichert wins the championship. If it's a Reichert vs Myers final, the winner wins the Championship.

    Enter Randy Meyer, who on paper has the toughest chance, but remember this is drag racing, this is Pomona, a place known for strange things. Meyer must win the event, Myers must not make the semis and Reichert must not make the finals. Sounds easy enough right?

    It will be interesting to say the least....

    No matter what happens it's been one hell of a season. I leave for Pomona tommorrow and I can't wait to see how this unfolds. Best of luck to everyone there.

    Ch3No2 You Bob and the rest of the team have did awesome this year, do everything possible to help Bill fulfill another dream. REMEMBER good enough never is, GOOD LUCK and bring back a champion to Michigan. GO BLUE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    What the hell would it feel like to stage in the final in Pomona knowing that the whole deal is on the line????!!!! :eek:

    This is getting good! I can't wait to see it unfold...up close...and in person. :cool:
