Bit of an odd one, we run an MSD 44 amp mag, with the tach convertor.

with a autometer 5 inch tach

use a 12v gel battery to power

All worked fine until last event, turned on system and the tach twitches but will not work while running.

has the tach convertor gone down?

    (battery is fine)

What else do you have with your MSD 44? You should be able to get rid of that convertor if you use the (MSD 8168 Retard Control). I changed my Autometer tach over from a Mag signal to standard signal and it works great.

the only thing i use is the inductive pickup that comes with the tach.it's a square plastic thing with a hole in it ......works great for me.

    Converter box

Use the port from your 44 points box. or one off your retard box. Never could keep one of those converters alive. Haven,t used one in years. But do check the grounds. Good luck Don
