Supercharger performance

Talk to me about supercharger gel.
Does anyone have data (back to back tests), to show results?
How often do you need to use it?
What are your experiences with it?
Smoke and mirrors?

 

The gel is mostly to keep the blower alive. They build them so tight now, if you don't use it every run, the rotors will gall up.

 

If you talk to some of the Pro-Mod teams that dyno test , They say its worth 30 Hp,

 

30 HP on a how many HP engine, 2500HP?

Yeah, I bought a can of it from RBS... Figured I'd hose it inside the blower before I started it each weekend.

I've yet to spray it on anything though... But my garage door tracks might be the first test.

 

I have a blower gel that my pro mod guys use and it sell for 10.00 a can, They like and tell me it works great.

Speaking of the blower gel...

How the hell do you clean it out from an assembled blower?

I'm looking at having my SSI Mag case powder coated. I don't feel comfortable in taking the blower apart, and it has this gel crap all over the inside of it.

Any good ideas on how to clean it out so it doesn't run out in the baking oven?

 

My understanding is that its $20 for the can of gel and $20 for the can of gel remover.

 

Figures... They get ya coming and going.

I wonder how much harm a lacquer thinner douche would do,
