SRAC meetings

Has anybody heard anything coming out of the SRAC meetings? I know it is close to easter and other than easter eggs falling out of the bunny's butt I was hoping for some good news? Dave Germain

This first meeting was very introductory, as expected. Alot of discussion was held on communication methods, information flow, responsibilities, etc.
Tom Compton said some very encouraging things, as did the other NHRA brass that were present. I believe 99% of the representatives were there, either in person or by teleconference. We all agreed to make our e-mail adresses public to the sportsman racing family, so that people could get ahold of us. Those have now been published on NHRA.com and other sites.
The next big council meeting is supposed to happen at the Joliet Nationals, but I know some class sub-councils are trying to meet earlier. We are trying to have an Alky council meeting at the Topeka Nationals. A few issues were briefly discussed, but this first meeting was not designed to be that. Our problems won't be solved easily, but from what I saw of this council, NHRA's attitude toward it, and what I know of the spirit of our racers, I am very encouraged about our future.
