spokane raceway to be sold

for those in div-6, the spokane raceway park was court ordered to be sold by public auction in april. the spokesman review paper had an article today about the court decision. orville moe may even be fined for various reasons as well. funny he recently told a local racer he would be running the track next year. guess he'll have to dig up some money. why would he do that, he always said it never made any money. anybody want 640 acres of AHRA history?

Sale in April, probably won't close for another 60-90 days.
It looks like definitely no race dates at all for sure.
Time to make other plans.

 

greg, time to put a f/c body on that alterted of yours? maybe a few match races around? but the cost of fuel will be interesting to go anywhere. Im still plugging away on mine. hope to test in yakima in late april.

I kicked the idea of a f/c body around. I even talked to Parker about it.
Then all these new rules came around so I decided to stay put. We've been booked into a pro comp match race in Yakima July 4-5 (Don is going to fix his air conditioner) other than that I think I am going to try the pro nostalgia group from Woodburn. A long ways to go and low pay but I just want to run and have fun as long as I am alive and can afford to.
Is there any hope Spokane county will buy the track? Has the feasibility study been completed? Keep us posted.
