The award program includes presentation of a beautiful lead crystal award and a $1,000 year-end cash bonus to the season’s top qualifier in both Top Alcohol Dragster and Top Alcohol Funny Car at the annual Division 3 Awards Banquet.

It is the sixth straight year for the Spitzer Race Cars Low Qualifier program that will award a non-contingent $500 low qualifier bonus in both Top Alcohol Dragster and Top Alcohol Funny Car at each of the five 2010 North Central NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series events. Events include the NHRA Lucas Oil Spring Spectacle of Speed at O’Reilly Raceway Park, April 23-25; the ‘Blaster Cavalcade of Stars presented by Budweiser at Summit Motorsports Park, May 14-16; Route 66 Raceway, June 11-13; National Trail Raceway, July 23-25 and Beech Bend Raceway Park, August 27-29.

In addition to the individual event bonuses, Spitzer Race Cars will continue to recognize the season’s top qualifiers based on accumulated qualifying points. Qualifying points will be awarded with 16 pt. for the low qualifier, 15 pt. for number two qualifiers, etc.

Reigning NHRA Lucas Oil national champion Bill Reichert collected his fourth straight Spitzer Cup in Top Alcohol Dragster last year while Andy Bohl wheeled his Competition Products Mustang Top Alcohol Funny Car to his first Spitzer qualifying title.

Spitzer Race Cars also sponsors the North Central Division’s Top Dragster Series.
