<img border="0" src="http://insidetopalcohol.com/massey.jpg" width="360" height="270" align="left">ENNIS, Texas - NHRA Top Alcohol Dragster rookie Spencer Massey is hoping to stay hot in his own backyard during this weekend's Division 4 Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event at the Texas Motorplex just south of Dallas. As the new driver for drag race legend Gene Snow, Massey has reached the finals of both divisional events he has attended, and hopes to improve that streak to three-straight with a win at his home track.

Massey and Snow, both from nearby Fort Worth, Texas, hope that a new fuel pump will put the team back on track after an uncharacteristic first round loss at last month's O'Reilly Spring Nationals in Houston.

"The saying bigger is better usually applies in drag racing," said Snow. "Our old pump just wasn't pumping as much nitro we needed it to, so now we have a new pump on the car, and it seems to have fixed the problem. We took it out and tested the car the other weekend, and we'll make a squirt or two on Thursday."

"Since Houston, we've just been working on getting the car back to where it was," added Massey. "We took the car out and tested the new pump. It wasn't perfect, but we saw what we needed to see in making a few 150 ft. shots. We'll make a few test runs on Thursday and see what it does. This is our home track, so we hope to do well and make a good showing for our sponsors Rucker Performance and Amalie Oil."

Fort Worth is also home to new team sponsor Rucker Performance. Rucker Performance specializes in custom motorcycles, paint and restorations. They have applied the paint on Snow's last two cars.

"Gene is a legend in the sport of drag racing with a new, up and coming driver," said Bill Rucker, President of Rucker Performance. "We are proud to have our signature Rucker Performance paint on his Top Alcohol Dragster."

Qualifying begins on Friday for the alcohol cars with two more sessions on Saturday. Final eliminations will conclude the event on Sunday.
