Sure was refreshing this past weekend at No Problem Raceway in Bell Rose La. to see the spectator turnout. On Sat and Sun the stands were full and the crowd three and four deep at the fense the length of the strip. The parking lot outside the track was over run so they weren't all other racers at the event. This is a good racetrack but is located miles from interstate 10 in the middle of the cane fields and swamps. How in the world do you get a crowd there when some of the National tracks when holding a division race the stands are bare? The spectators who visit the TA pits in La. are the best.
    Sure made things exciting.
At 20 dollars a ticket I'm sure the spectators paid a good portion of the overhead.

I agree, especially with that chilling breeze blowing on Sunday. Saturday was perfect.

Early estimates put the crowd around 4000 on Saturday and 3000 on Sunday in cold, windy conditions. Louisiana is definitely drag race country. From all the time I've spent over there, people are just into drag racing.

With Baton Rouge's population growth since Katrina, a big race there could be huge. The new owners of State Capitol have made many improvements...lengthened shut down, concrete walls (although they just put them inside the old armco, making it about 18" narrower in each lane. Supposedly they will resurface the track in two years.

No Problem Raceway Park is right up there with any national event surface out there. Concrete to the 1/8. Lots of Shutdown, lots of paved pits.

Name another track that has a bar in the bottom floor of the tower?

Everyone needs to consider this race for an out of division event.

It's not in the bottom floor of the tower, but Atco has a bar right in the middle of the pits...
