We run a BAE 4 Engine that has dual plugs we ran with dual mags now we want to run a single mag. Blown alcohol.
The question is - Sparkplugs in which hole with single mag ?
Is there ANY advantage to using one sparkplug hole over the other ?
The only thing I can see is using the outside hole on 1278 the plug could run cooler. No difference on 3456
How about valve cover removal and installation any difference ?

Perhaps I could throw a related question into the mix, with the hope that those in the know could shed some light on it too at the same time?........

If a person has a big bore (say 4.50" or more) on blown alky, is there a benefit to be gained by running two mags and two plugs? For smaller bores I would think not, but I start to wonder about the big bore motors.

    Thanks.

I asked this question a while back and the general consensus was that you use the plug that the tube goes in straight. its easier to put the vave covers on . The angled tube probably would make it more difficult installing the valve cover. As far as for performance I dont know. Just my 2 cents. Kevin
