    engine is 350 cube , 23 deg sbc , alcohole fuel , 9.2 : 1 comp , 28-30 psi boost , ( this is a twin turbo engine...)

    currently 28 deg timing locked.

the "blue" timing mark / line is about 2 mm from the base ring.
NO cad burnt off base ring

the current plugs are ngk R5672A - 9

Ignition is msd 10 plus , with alternater

    Question:
i want to run a couple more degrees timing....
should i have a colder plug , to move the "blue" line backwards.... towards the radius of the earth strap ??

A colder heat range plug only affects the porcelein temperature and only makes a difference in a gasoline motor and reading the fuel ring. If you are reading the blue line correctly and if you say that the blue line is where it is then you are pretty well advanced all you are going to go. Any more advance will probably nip the ground strap. Regardless I would be running -10 plugs with that amount of boost. What you say doesn't make sense that you have the blue line that far down on the ground strap and not burning the cad off the base ring. If no cad has burned off the base ring then you are too rich and the temps are too cold but remember the timing and the mixture go hand in hand. If you take fuel out with were you say the blue line where it is I think you might get some detonation. Can you take a good digital picture showing me the blue line and email it too me at mike.c@mindspring.com?
