Snowbird Nationals to pay $5,000 to win in TAD

    Snowbird Outlaw Nationals to pay $5,000 to win in TAD, Dec. 3-5. Considering Guy Kelly won with a 5.34@268 here last year, it's not the 'bad' track it used to be! Alan and Todd have done alot with the track if you came here in year's past.

    The rest of the purse is $1750 to R/U, $750 semis, $500 qualify. 8 car field, 2 qualifiers Saturday night. Eliminations Sunday. If you've never been, this is a fun race, and a great way to beat the cold weather off-season blues!

    Iam in !!!fun in the sun, new car will be done,& cant test in this cold , open test session on friday i heard no charge to race & 3 crew guys get in free .& no entry fee for tad ,

    Keep in mind roots funny cars can run in the open outlaw class..

    It was fun last year,but it wasn't sunny and it wasn't warm.....we won it but we froze to death!

    I'm not Will, but I'll answer your question.
    Desoto Dragway is located about 10 miles east of Bradenton, Florida on S.R. 64, or about an hour south-east of Tampa. Usually a nice, warm place to be that time of year.

    Thanks for the reply Marty.
    What happened on your run with Ashley at No Problem. I was on the starting line and thought you had won the race as all we could see was the smoke from Ashley until her win light came on!!
    Given skill or luck I'll take luck every time.

    It's been the same story all year. Yeah, we had Ashley beat (which would have helped us greatly in National & Divisional points), but the car shook alittle in the middle of low gear, and the blower studs broke. It did not backfire or bang or anything. The blower shook loose and the engine shut off at about 150'. What a year!

    that is great to hear.you have been a regular for what??at least the last 5 yrs?always enjoyable to watch your car run those huge speeds.thanks for the reply.now just if someone else would reply.that way we could get an idea of what kind of field we are looking at.hope it is a good turnout
