Sitko’s aiming high at IHRA Rocky Mountain Nationals​

Edmonton, AB – This weekend the Sitko Family Racing team heads to Castrol Raceway to make their mark in what will be another very quick 8-car IHRA field. With all the right parts in place they plan to run career best elapsed times and speeds, which will be a necessity to qualify in Edmonton.

A brand new Littlefield supercharger is atop the 511-inch BAE hemi and the team believes this new blower will play a key role in their success in Edmonton and throughout the season. Another big improvement for this season’s event is the chassis and body, provided by car owners Tim and Nancy Nemeth of Chilliwack, BC – the other half of the Nemeth/Sitko team. “We have never had a car that has been this close to our class’ minimum weight, which is a huge improvement as we were 100 pounds overweight last season with our old Dodge Daytona body,” stated driver Nathan Sitko. “The weight difference and aerodynamic advantages we have with Tim and Nancy’s Camaro over our Daytona should help a ton just by themselves.”

As of late the team has been plagued with fuel problems, but are confident that they have worked the bugs out of the system after capturing a runner-up finish at their last event in Calgary, AB – the Father’s Day Classic.

The IHRA Rocky Mountain Nationals run June 23-25 in Edmonton, AB, Canada at Castrol Raceway. Look for big things from the Nemeth/Sitko camp this weekend as they try to be the spoiler for the IHRA regulars!
