Sitko Family Racing to debut screw blower combo's in Mission

The top alcohol team of Sitko Family Racing is taking it to a new level this year. While they have always been a force on the match race circuit with their roots powered dragsters and funny cars, they had little hope of qualifying at points meets and national events. In May, Ken and Irene Sitko will debut their first efforts with a screw blower on both their Top Alcohol Funny Car, driven by their 23 year old son Nathan Sitko, and on their Top Alcohol Dragster, driven by 25 year old son Troy Sitko. The race will be the NHRA Lucas Oil Mission divisional, and will be attended by some of the quickest cars on the circuit, so the Sitko's will have to exceed their personal bests by a bunch just to qualify.

The power plants in each car are virtually identical, with the team opting to go with typical funny car engines (511 cubic inches) for both cars to standardize on parts. This will take the dragster in a different direction than most other TAD's, as it will have extra cubic inches but also extra weight. The team has been working on both cars since November, and with the help of patriarch George Sitko, major sponsors Paradise RV, Western Camp Services, Greg & Dawn Ettinger, and Shane & Wilma Reykdal, everyone is very excited about the coming season.

The team is especially confident with their decision to enlist Will Hanna as an expert technical advisor for both the dragster and funny car, and are delighted to announce that Mr. Hanna will be on hand in Mission to help Ken and Shane to bring the full potential out of both cars.

The drivers are excited, so are the crew and the family, so let's go racing!
