    What do you guys recomend for a 540 inch hemi 11:1 with a 1471 hh littlefield we have it at 27 now it is a pro mod running eighth mile

    27 or 28 is about the max for Brad heads with a roots blower. Any more and it will start eating up parts.

    The screw blowers can take even less timing, the amount depends on the overdrive.

    I agree with Ken at 27 degrees being max and maybe 26 being min. Here is the problem with timing on a blown motor you can go less down to 24* and run it leaner or you can go you can go up to 29 and run it richer. I believe the vast majority of us has found that with those heads and about a 11.5:1 compression ration 27* is max for not hurting parts with not much power gained over 27*. There is power loss on taking timing out and going below 26* and that is why we do it on launch for reducing power for traction. The are exceptions to these rules but they should not apply to your setup.

    ok...im not much different. mine is a 526 with brad fuel heads, 11.3 comp. i was running a screw with this combo at 30 deg. do i still need to be at 26-27 degrees with a msd 44 ?

    a fuel head has alot bigger chamber than the fat heads, but you should try 28 with that combo. i ran a big chamber head with a screw and ran easier and faster mph at 28 degrees.
